BUNDLAR is hiring a Back-end Engineer to help develop and maintain our Augmented Reality API. You will have the opportunity to create and enhance our platform by developing new features and upgrading existing features. You will play an integral role on the BUNDLAR team and will work closely with our founders, project managers, and tech team. You will need to have development project experience, strong problem-solving skills, analytical skills, and a desire to create solutions using code. What you will do:

  • Develop and support features for our AR Content Management System back-end
  • Write tests for existing systems and debug issues
  • Contribute to architecture and design discussions
  • Improve engineering standards, tooling, and processes

What you bring to the position:

  • Strong Computer Science fundamentals and practical experience in at least one mid-level, back-end
    programming language (Python, Java, C++)
  • Understanding of back-end design patterns – REST API, asynchronous/messaging
  • Experience with Git; Familiarity with GitHub or BitBucket
  • Familiarity with agile software development life cycle
  • Passion for development and desire to work with other developers
  • Experience or keen interest in augmented or virtual reality is a plus
  • Experience using JavaScript, Unity 3D, or web content management systems is a plus
  • A bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience
  • A United States Citizenship or lawful permanent residence

Other Details

  • Reports to Engineering Manager
  • Job location is a combination of virtual and in office in Chicago, IL.
  • Working hours consist of standard daytime business hours, with flexibility during peak times
