CHICAGO (December 5, 2018) – 1871 joined BUNDLAR on Wednesday to announce that it will host VR/AR Chicago Meetup, a series of panels and demonstrations focusing on the applications of virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR), and extended reality (XR) in different industries. Beginning on January 16, 2019, 1871 will host VR/AR Chicago events on a monthly basis for an entire year. Each VR/AR Chicago event will include a panel of experts along with opportunities for networking and hands-on demonstration.
“We’re very excited to partner with 1871 to help grow, educate, and engage the Chicago business and XR community.” said Matt Wren, CTO at BUNDLAR and Founder of the VR/AR Chicago MeetUp. “XR technology represents the next evolution of communication, and Chicago has a unique opportunity to be at the forefront of it all. With 1871 being the center of the technology ecosystem here, this seems like a natural fit as augmented reality and virtual reality adoption accelerate.”
Launching in March of 2017, VR/AR Chicago Meetup has covered VR, AR, and XR topics in a variety of different fields including real estate, commercial print, games, marketing, education, the Internet of Things, artificial intelligence, research, and therapy. The VR/AR Chicago Meetup community includes developers, business leaders, investors, students, and more. “Virtual reality, augmented reality, and extended reality technologies are changing the way that organizations operate in countless industries,” said 1871 CEO Betsy Ziegler. “We’re excited to partner with BUNDLAR to host the VR/AR Chicago Meetup.
