Augmented Reality, or AR, is on-demand multimedia information (video, audio, 3D graphics, animation) delivered through a smart device into the physical environment.

For someone to place digital content in the real world through a smart device, they need two things:

  1. A Trigger (Image/Object or GeoFence Location)
  2. Digital Content (video, audio, 3D graphics, animation)

A BUNDLAR AR App then recognizes the Trigger and places the corresponding Digital Content in the physical world.

Virtual Reality (VR) and Augmented Reality (AR) accomplish two very different things. VR replaces reality, taking you somewhere else. AR adds to reality, projecting digital information on top of what you’re already seeing in the real world. VR primarily relies on a headset delivery system, while AR is more accessible through smartphones and tablets, as well as wearable.

Mixed Reality (MR) combines elements of AR and VR where real-world and digital objects interact.

One of the largest barriers to the widespread adoption of augmented reality has been the need for a skilled developer to create applications that can display AR experiences. With the BUNDLAR Platform, anybody, anywhere can create, edit, and deploy AR experiences whenever they want. 3D Models can be animated and interactive, but must be in fbx format. Select a variety of options on the CMS to customize a 3D Model to the user’s needs. These models are completely immersive experiences, perfect for “product explosions” and other 3D rendering training or learning solutions.
